The Sale of New Appliances method provides a way to calculate electricity savings from the sale of household appliances that consume less electricity than the average appliance of the same type, including:

- Dishwashers
- 1-Door Refrigerators
- Refrigerator with 2 or more doors
- Chest Freezers or Upright Freezers
- Televisions.
