Reporting requirements
Implementation data reporting
ESS and PDRS Rules require ACPs accredited in the following methods to report on activiy (including no activity) carried out in a calendar month in the following month:
- Home Energy Efficiency Retrofits – HEER (ESS)
- Installation of High Efficiency Appliances for Business – IHEAB (ESS)
- All PDRS methods.
Reporting deadlines in the following month vary by method as set out in the Table below.
Method |
Reporting deadline in the following month |
| Home Energy Efficiency Retrofits – HEER (ESS) | End of month |
| Installation of High Efficiency Appliances for Business – IHEAB (ESS) | End of month |
| Reducing Demand Using Efficiency – RDUE (PDRS) | End of month |
| Store and Shift Capacity – SASC (PDRS) | 15th of month |
| Household Annual Demand Response – HADR (PDRS) | 15th of month |
How to submit your monthly report
The information you must report is the same information you will need to provide when you register a certificate in TESSA from eligible implementations. To report:
- Use the ESS Example Template or the PDRS Example Template to ensure your information is submitted in the correct format.
- Once completed, save as a CSV file and email it to ess.compliance@ipart.nsw.gov.au.
- Go to our Uploading Implementation Data to TESSA page for the template and find out how to fill it out.
Note: You must provide a monthly report even if you have not done an implementation, or you have already registered certificates for those implementations.
If you have no activities to report, submit an email titled: “NIL RETURN FOR [INSERT METHOD] [INSERT REPORTING MONTH]”, to ensure you have complied with requirements.
Reporting for multiple methods
For ESS you can report HEER and IHEAB data in the same spreadsheet.
For PDRS you can report RDUE, SASC and HADR implementations in the one spreadsheet, but there are different due dates across the methods. If you choose to combine data, you will need to provide the data by the earlier of the two deadlines.
Other reporting requirements
You may also be required to provide information to us to meet your conditions of accreditation or if we issue a notice banning equipment, a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) or Demand Response Aggregator. See your conditions of accreditation to find out if you have other reporting requirements. Stay up to date with IPART notifications so you know if you need to report on banned equipment, VPP or Demand Response Aggregator.
