Individual liable demand is calculated based on the liable acquisitions on each of 4 peak days in the peak demand reduction period (between 2:30 and 8:30pm AEST)
The 4 days have the highest maximum demand for megawatts of electricity during the compliance period (1 November – 31 March). They are identified based on:
- 5-minute interval data published by AEMO
- the highest electricity demand at any time during the day, not just the peak period between 2:30 and 8:30 pm AEST.
The Scheme Regulator must nominate and publish the 4 peak days on this page by 30 April after the end of the compliance period.
The 4 peak days for the 2023-24 compliance period are:
- 14 December 2023
- 21 January 2024
- 23 February 2024
- 29 February 2024
