Submit your application to become an Accredited Certificate Provider (ACP) through our online system TESSA by:
- logging into TESSA (see the Registering an account page for more information)
- entering your details
- uploading your application documents.
Only an authorised user set up in your TESSA account with authority to sign on your organisation’s behalf can submit an application for accreditation. You can apply to be an authorised user when you register for a TESSA account. See the TESSA page for information about user types.
Apply through TESSA
Complete the online form in TESSA and upload your:
- completed application forms:
- supporting documents.
Use the checklists in the application forms to ensure you’ve included all the necessary documents. You may also provide any additional information that you consider relevant to your application.
Documents must be in commonly used file formats such as Word, Excel, PDF, JPEG etc. and should not be password protected.

Undertakings
When completing the online form in TESSA, you can also agree to enter into an undertaking to set aside a percentage of registered certificates from sale or trade until their validity has been confirmed through an audit. The Scheme Administrator has a standing requirement for all applicants to give an undertaking. Details about the undertaking are provided in our Fact sheet – Undertakings and in TESSA. While you don’t have to agree to enter into an undertaking, the Scheme Administrator will consider this when deciding whether to accredit you.
